I started the day pissed off because I miss my wife. I arrived so late last night, Madison was already asleep. She looked dead tired, and I didn’t want to wake her up. Because of the fucked up mess going on at the Sterling-Ryan, I drag my ass out of bed way before anyone else and go to work way too fucking early. I have a brand new marriage, and I want to do everything in my power to make my wife fall in love with me, yet I find myself spending less and less time with her. My frustrations are building up on me.

Here I am sitting at my desk before the sun has even come up, overdosing on caffeine so I can make it through the today. Someone is stealing information from my company and selling it to one of my competitors. I have buried my head in the sand for way too long, now I have to face the facts, a motherfucker who I trusted, is screwing me over.

Even though I consider Drew Steele a shitty human being for the fucked up situation with my sister and his nephew, his security firm, DRS Security, Inc. is the best. When I began to have my suspicions, I contacted him and had him quietly start investigating. Yesterday, he asked me to meet him at his office, and he dropped a bombshell. He hasn't had time to figure out precisely who is behind the theft because the fucker is very good at hiding himself, but someone is selling my company’s secrets. This asshole had better find a big fucking rock to hide under, and this fucker had better stay under his chosen rock until I am dead because I will never stop looking for him.

Drew promises me, his guys will figure out who is selling my secrets quickly; I am anxiously fucking waiting. I keep thinking the apparent suspect is Marta, but the logical part of me doesn’t think she's smart enough or stupid enough to fuck me over. Oh well, I'll have to wait on Drew.

I'm here early before anyone else to meet Drew and find out if any new information has come to light. Earlier when I arrived, I let the night guard know to send him straight to my office.

Drew walks in the door, and I can tell by the expression on his face, I'm not going to like what he has to say. We shake hands, and I point to the chair in front of my desk to signal for him to have a seat. "Can I get you some coffee before we get started?"

"No, Lukas I had plenty on the way in here. I hate to tell you this, but you were actually right. Your former assistant, Marta Jenkins has been selling you out, big time. From what we have been able to find out, it started sometime around May of last year when she was approached by August Dunbar. It looks like he made her an offer she couldn't refuse.
